Exhibit A Evan 16 months-When he wants something we either get the angry child with full out screaming or the sweet child who tries hugs and smiles to get his way. Either way its hard to say no to a baby.

Exhibit B Lilly 3- "But . . . mom .... mom ... i just .... just .... want to ... mom ... mom ... please... please.... I said please... see I'm being nice"

"Mommy please hold me I'm hurting I can't do it I'm hurting, please."

And of course when its time to clean up my leg is broken, when its time to eat dinner I'm so full, and when it's time to go to bed I'm hungry, I have to go to the bathroom, or I just can't sleep.

Here is the dining room. I started to paint the chairs white and got half done. The other half can wait.

I found some barstools. The kids love them but I think I will continue to look for something with a back.

I have hung a few things. Painted that dresser and we got our rug!

I have to show off the bench I made. I didn't just upholster it, I MAde it. After hours of experimenting and starting over, its strong.

And finally after many months of waiting we finally got carpet on the stairs.

Ok so forget about that last post on Thursday when I said I would post pictures tonight. I went to Girls night that night and got home at 11:30 then stayed up till 3 moving stuff over to our house. And then of course my battery for my camera was dead. And then I couldn't find the cord to uplaod pics. And now I just noticed that the settings on my camera were off, so the pictures are kind of grainy. Anyways I'm still trying to get used to the camera and learn how to use it.
But here is the house. This is the front door and to the left is a little door for the kids that goes under the stairs to a little reading spot. We are still waiting for carpet for the stairs. It got ordered twice and came the wrong color. Third time is the charm right!?

I have more varnishing to do on those end caps on the posts.

Here is the kitchen. We need to paint the trim around that pantry door and build shelves in there.

Dining room. We are waiting for our backsplash in here and need to get our baseboards on.

And maybe some yard work . . .

I'm planning on painting theses chairs white soon. And good spray painters out there want to come spray with me : )

Family room. In here we need to put the bracket up for the tv and hang it, baseboards, and get Tim to get us a rug. : ) I'm hoping to order the same carpet that is coming for the stairs and have it bound for an area rug.

This is a little more realistic of how our house looks right now. So don't be offended if I don't invite you over because there really are boxes everywhere.

Coming in from the back door. In the near future there will be a bench, hooks, and shelves here.

Play room. In here we need to build the shelves in the closet. Then I will be able to put away all their toys. : ) We have been doing preschool in here for 2 hrs everyday this last week, and it has been going really good. I'm hoping that in the next couple weeks when we check most things off our to do list I will be able to pepare better lessons for Carter and Lilly.

Powder bath. We are still waiting for the chair rail tile to come in and we need to hang a mirror.

Mast bath. I have been forced to become more comfortable with my body.

Mirrors are needed in here and we need to put our hardware on.

Laundry.

Kids bath. We have mirrors for here just need to hang them and put our hardware on. Currently we can't really open the drawers.

I'm not posting any bedroom picks this time, because we don't have any dressers or rods in our closets. So they consist of a bed on the floor and boxes. I will try to continue to post as we finish projects. Thanks for taking a look and if you come across any awesome cheap dressers or mirrors call me.

We have moved in to our home and I love it. I love that the kids can be playing in the family room or dining room and I can still watch and talk to them while working in the kitchen. I love my long hall way that the kids race in and ride there cars down. I love my big kitchen that has plenty of space to work in. I love the $12 step ladder from walmart that allows my kids to cook with me. I love decorating it and putting pictures of our family up. I love the playroom that is next to the kitchen, so my little ones can still feel like they are close to mom but the mess is in a different room. I love the reading nook under the stairs. I love the big bathtubs. I love that it is across the street from my parents. I love every little detail of it. Stay tune pictures coming tonight!

Here is the 4th of July. It was filled with good food, family, swimming, and a little fireworks.

We went on the boat when Christine came and had a blast. I love going on the tube with the kids, especially Carter and Josh who was loving every minute of it.

Today we finished painting, our cabinets for our house arrived, we got ready to order tile tomorrow, got ready for the electrician tomorrow, put a coat of varnish on our front door. Painted pictures, played hide and go seek in the dirt , gave baths, read books, played monsters, played princesses, jumped on the trampoline, pushed swings, went swimming, ate pizza, gave baths, put kids to bed. It's midnight and I think I will go make my dad cookies for all the time he spends on our house. And then I will wake up at 6 am with Carter. And yes this is a typical day and I'm lovin it : ) Just don't ask Tim about the laundry, it's kind of a sore subject these days. ; )

So after a wonderful weekend spent in Seattle with the family looking at house stuff and a husband saying instead of reading every other blog you should write on ours, I decided it was time to update. So here it is. . .

Our house is still buying built or worked on. It's built, we have all the hvac, plumbing, wiring, and half of the insulation done. Friday the drywall people are suppose to start. We have got to pick out everything for the house which has been fun, stressful, and a long process. Mostly fun though especially when you finally decide and then can look back and sigh with relief that you think you might have made the right decision. You can probably tell that I have a hard time making decisions. There are so many choices out there. For the finishing work we have picked out appliances, cabinets, some lights, exterior doors, and a few bathroom fixtures. We still need to decide on paint colors, flooring, stair railing, tile, counter tops, sinks, more lights, interior doors, trim, casing, baseboards, toilets, and the list goes on.
We hope to be moving in sometime in August; beginning, end we really don't know. In the meantime though I'm refinishing a table and reupholstering and painting chairs for our dining room, making a bench for our foyer, and looking at a million house pictures. I really love this house stuff and am very excited about my projects.

Favorite quote from the weekend: We went to the hotel pool where about 20 12 year olds were dunking eachother. I told Carter it will ok they won't touch you just stay close to the stairs. We have similar conversations every day. I really wonder sometimes where he gets this stuff and what he really believes. The only tv he watches is diego and dora. He doesn't know his letters but he can tell you quite the story.

We have been working on building our house this summer. It's been so fun, I had no idea how much I didn't know about building a house. My dad is our contractor and has been explaining everything to us along the way, along with going the extra mile to make sure we avoid any problems in the future, drainage, ect. We are building across the street from my parents, so it's been fun to be able to go out there 10 times a day and check out whats happening. We are hoping to be done next summer. It will definitely be worth the wait, our house is going to be awesome!!!

Tim's mom (Nana) came to visit from Minnesota for 3 days in the middle of Aug. One of the highlights of the trip was our camping trip. The kids had a lot of fun and did a great job sleeping in the tent.

The most exciting news has been starting on the house in June. I will hopefully post more pics tomorrow of the current progress we have made.

We have got a couple visits from the Easter bunny this month. Until the other day we just saw him out hopping around the yard, but after Carter expressed his desire to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap and be his best friend, the bunny came in and did just that. Carter was so excited and talks about the Easter bunny and his funny dance where he shakes his tail daily.

Lilly was too scared to take a picture with Easter bunny so here are some pictures of her playing.

Lilly copies everything Carter does lately. One of her favorite things to play is dinosaur. They say "rawr" and mommy runs away screaming. They think it's so funny.

We moved to Yakima right before Thanksgiving and have been having a lot of fun here with family. We are living with my parents now because we are going to start building a house in the spring and need to save money for that. We will probably be living here for awhile because we are building the house ourselves. But we don't mind there house is huge and Bubby (Grandma) and Grandpa are so much fun.

Thank you Christine for driving with us the 30 hr trip from Ar while Carter and I were throwing up in the car the whole way. You're the best aunt and sister!

I love this little girl! Lilly is so sweet. Her latest tricks are clapping, waving, putting her hands up when we sing "snowman . . . tall, tall, tall", climbing up the stairs, walking along furniture and venturing from one piece to another. She loves eating anything and everything, Carter, Carters toys (especially the mini trampoline, and pushing the lighting McQueen riding car), reading books, bath time, music, loves being held, and loves the swing and slide at the playground and I'm pretty sure she already likes pretty shoes. Carter still calls her baby and adores her. He wants to share everything with her and gives Lilly toys consistently but mainly so she won't steal the toy he wants. He likes her to have bows and clips in her hair so she can be pretty and knows anything pink is for Lilly and anything blue is for Carter. He looks out for her at play dates and tries to carry her even though she is almost as big as he is. Mom, Dad, and Carter can't help but smile when we see her.

Carter has been working on using the potty. We haven't been diligent about using the potty just occasionally. And of course Carter only wants to use it when we are in public places, like at the park or at the grocery store when we are already in line or to get out of sacrament meeting at church. Here are a couple funny stories from our experiences . . .

I put Carter in underwear one night and he was sitting in the kitchen and I told him if he goes pee pee in the potty I will give him candy, he said "yeah, candy" then started pushing and went right on the floor, well I guess he forgot the potty thing.

Carter one day went to the bathroom 10 times in 20 mins and had 20 skittles. He would only go a little bit then be ready for his skittles. I tried to encourage him to go more but he insisted that he was done and needed his candy.

Carter and Lilly were taking a bath together. Which is so cute to watch they splash and laugh like crazy the whole time in there. I noticed Carter was tooting so I said Carter come sit on the potty and go poo poo. He was kind of unsure about it so I said you can have a cookie if you go. He got in a squatting position on the toilet and I held his hands, well while he was going he started peeing right on my arm. I didn't want to disturb him so I contined to let him pee on me.

Summer Update

We have had a fun summer. In May we visited Minnesota. We spent time at Nana and Papas and with Leah, Bryan and there 4 kids. It was fun to see family and for Carter to play with his cousins. June was spent playing and doing home improvement projects. Then in July we went to Washington and got to see most of my family there. We were so busy and were having so much fun we forgot to take pics.

Lilly is 9 months now and Carter will be 2 1/2 soon they are so cute and so happy.

In March my mom came to visit for a week and a half for my birthday. Some of the highlights were our sewing projects and her taking me on a shopping spree for my birthday. It was so much fun to have her around and can't wait for her next visit. She was also very helpful with helping me to be a better parent. I used to cave into Carter too much and he was getting into the habit of whining all the time till he got his way. Anyways with her support and encouragement I can tell him know no or later now without any breakdowns. She is the best mom and grandma.

April has been so nice here. The weather has been perfect. Everything is so green right now. I have planted some tomatoe plants, green peppers, and herbs in an upside down patio garden Tim got me for my birthday. We have also been planting other flowers around and fixing things up. Tim is building a new deck railing right now and we continue to scrape ceilings and paint. I have really been enjoying having these projects I always have something to do. But at the same time nothing is broken or unbearable that we have to get it done as quick as possible.

Lilly is 6 months now. She has 2 teeth, can sit up by herself (as long as she isn't too excited or too tired), can turn in a circle and roll which gets her wherever she wants to go, falls alseep by herself with no crying, loves to play with toys or whatever she can reach, loves to watch Carter and loves attention.
As you can see we are happy and just enjoying life. Enjoy all the pics!

Carter turned 2 on Saturday which was also Valentine's day. We had a fun and exciting day which ended with an exhausted 2 year old that didn't take a nap and had too many sweets.

Here is an update of what we have been up to:

We have begun to scrape the popcorn texture off our ceiling. It looks awesome due to Tims hard work. We have finished the living room, dining area, and the entry way. And have begun to prime and paint.

We got 13 trees cut done around the house and in the backyard. We did this to protect our house from falling branches and to allow for a bigger backyard, which we will be working on in a couple months.

We had an ice storm that kept Tim home from work for 2 days and left over 500 thousand people without electricity for over a week. Our electricity went out once for an hour and then again the next day for 3 hours. About 30 mins away in Fayettville, Ar is where most of the damage was done.

We have been enjoying the WalMart fitness center here. We have been trying to go swimming weekly. Carter and Lilly both love it and Carter is getting very good at swimming "like a fish".

This week has been warmer and I have taken the kids to the park a couple times. I love that we live only a block away from a large playground, basketball court, tennis court, miniature golf course, and swimming pool. Carter just loves to go and play at the playground especially when there are other kids there. One day some older kids even took him down the tall slide, pushed him on the swing, taught him how to play tether ball and shared their lunch with Carter. He loved every minute of it. Sometimes we just go and roam around and throw a ball at the b-ball court and tennis court and visit Yogi the bear at the mini golf course. And Lilly does great just sitting in the stroller of being held and enjoying the outdoors.

The ward has been great here. We have made many friends and it has helped that there were so many friends that we already had in Idaho that moved here as well.

Lilly is over 3 months old now. She is so smiley and alert now. Carter has been much more fond of her of late because of it.

Well we are loving it here and will be sure to keep you updated.

Graduation, baby blessing, and moving all in a week

We have been very busy of late and here is why. . . Tim graduated from Byu-Idaho on Friday the 12th. He amazes me so much. Even with having a full time job and a family he still kept his grades up and found time to play with his buddies.

On Saturday morning we had a wonderful snow storm and Wal-Mart came to move us. Fortunately my parents had came to Rexburg to watch Tim graduate then take Carter to Utah with them so he didn't have to be there while we took everything out. And Tims mom Lenore stayed and helped me finish packing boxes and cleaning. Lilly was a little angel through the whole thing and stayed content in her swing.

Then Saturday evening my sister Lisa and I blessed our babies at her church in Lehi, Ut. All of my family got to be there and Tim's parents and one of his sisters and her family. My cousin Melissa and her family also got to come, I really enjoyed that.

Tim left to drive to Arkansas at 3am on Monday and arrived at 9pm. The moving truck delivered our things Tuesday morning. Tim's mom Lenore flew out with Carter Wednesday morning on stand by due to her daughter working for an airline company she gets to travel for free. I flew out on Wednesday afternoon. I was supposed to be flying from Salt Lake to Las Vegas to Denver then to Fayettville, AR. I got stuck in Las Vegas though with Lilly. All flights were canceled due to 3 inches of snow. We stayed in a hotel and flew out the next afternoon. I got to Fayettville at 1 am on Friday.

Carter has been having fun in our new house with so much space to run and adjusted very quickly to his big bed. Tim was given 14 days off of work to relocate. We have been enjoying having him here and helping while I unpack.

We had a nice Christmas by ourselves here in Arkansas, I definitely missed being with my family though. Carter was excited about all his presents and was kind of bothered that we didn't let him play with any of them until we were all done unwrapping. We had a couple over for dinner on Christmas that also recently moved here from our ward in Idaho. Her family makes homemade pizzas for Christmas dinner, so we had pizza and a ham dinner. After we put Carter to bed we played the Wii for a couple hours.

Tim here. Norma is busy with Lilly and we finally figured out a way around plugging our camera into the computer and still uploading some pictures. This last week has been a bit crazy, but it's been like going to Disneyland. A little hectic, but has had some great rides.

On Monday October 27th, I went into the hospital around 10 to be induced. By the time I got in and settled I learned that they didn't know when the doctor would be able to come in and break my water like they did with Carter. I talked to the nurse and decided around 11 that they would start me on some pitocin. They gave me one drop every hour until 12:30 when the doctor came in to break my water. I got an epidural soon after that and she was born at 2:22 pm. She weighed 7lbs 11ozs and was 18 inches long. She is so sweet. We came home on Tuesday late afternoon. Carter has been doing well with all things considered. He is jealous of the attention she gets and thinks she should be in the bouncer or swing all the time so I can hold him. He went over to a friends house for awhile today and then out with my mom, so he hasn't had a ton of time yet to show too much frustration. Any tips for helping the siblings adjust to a new baby?

Sorry I still haven't been able to find my camera cord so you will have to wait a little longer to see our cute baby girl.

I thought I would take this time to post, since Tim has Carter. He took Carter to watch the BYU football game with him. He is such a good dad, I wonder how much Tim is really getting to watch the game though.
Well, its only a matter of days till the new baby comes. I will be 38 weeks in a couple of days. I'm hoping she comes before Halloween. Carter is doing great. He is such a happy kid (generally). He has been doing a lot of pretend play the last month. One of his favorite things to do is to put a stick of some sort between his legs and run around and say neigh. He also likes to pretend dad is a horse and ride on Tims back. Its fun to see how fast he picks up on things. I have had to stop drinking straight from the milk cartoon because Carter has started to put his mouth on it and wants a drink too. He still loves music and to dance. He has a number of toys that play music that he consistently pushes throughout the day so he can dance. His vocabulary has been expanding as well. He is just beginning to say short phrases. Carter and I have really enjoyed being in an apartment this semester with all the kids to play with. Everytime we go outside there is normally atleast one kid to run around and scream with. I am very excited and anxious though to move into our home. We officially own it now. We decided on buying a larger older home. It has new carpet and tile throughout the house, which was a must for me. I'm so excited to have a play room, a laundry room, and extra space to store everything, to entertain, and for guests. I feel like everything is so cluttered and never looks clean in our tiny apartment. We have plans to do some major landscaping this spring. We plan on taking out some trees so we can have a bigger lawn. And actually put in a lawn.

We are back in Rexburg. Arkansas was a good experience. In fact it was so good that we are
moving back in December after graduation. Tim got a job for Sams Club as an assisstant buyer. He is working at our local club in Idaho Falls getting some in-club experience while he finishes this semester and also doing some projects for the Home Office. We are in the process of buying a home in Arkansas. Once everything is finalized I will post pictures. We are very excited to be moving their and for our home. We will miss all our family in the Northwest though. Our baby girl will be here soon, only 2 months to go. We are getting very excited, I love to see all the cute little girl clothes next to all Carters big boy clothes in his closet. They will be so cute together.

On our way back to Rexburg we stopped for a week and a half in Minnesota to spend time with Tims family. It was a great vacation. Carter loved his cousins and all the attention he got. Carter surprisingly did very well with the 30+ hours in the car in 2 weeks and sleeping in the car, hotels, and about 3 other locations. I felt bad to continue to change everything on him every couple days. We were able to spend time with all of Tims family and go to a cabin for a couple days. It was a very nice resort that was filled with tons of things to do. We all were sad to leave.

Life in NW Arkansas

Carter loves to hug mommy and daddy at the same time.
We went to a mall and outside their was a band playing Carter screamed and cheered after every song. Superman even got a shout out from the band.

Tims parents came last week and we had many exciting adventures. We went to a couple lakes, a cave, and other tourist attractions.

Carter loved to play in the shallow water. He has also discovered the joy of splashing in puddles of late.

Tim and I are in Arkansas now for a couple months for Tim's internship at Sam's Club. This is his first week and hes really enjoying it. We both like what we have seen so far. The weather has been nice and their seems to be plenty to do around here and lots of shopping.

We miss Yakima though. Carter loved going out to see the animals everyday and especially spending time with Bubby and Grandpa.

Carter is growing up so fast. He seems to be understanding a lot more of late. It's nice also because he seems happier. He loves the attention of others and is constantly waving and clapping to get a smile.

Oh yeah and also I'm having a girl. We are so excited.

Exciting birthday present

For my birthday Doug, Carrie, and Christine sent me two dollar store pregnancy tests. So those came out positive but I was kind of scared to believe them so Tim went out and bought me a name brand one and that came out positive too. We had a doctors appointment last Monday on my birthday and had an ultrasound and saw the baby. I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant and the due date is Nov. 2nd. We are very excited to have another baby. I have been feeling relatively good. I'm very excited to be going to Yakima for awhile before Tim's internship in Arkansas so my mom can watch Carter while I get in an extra nap. (Thanks Lisa for the prompt I almost forgot to let everyone know)

Carter is so much fun. He has so much energy. Sometimes I think to much energy. He is almost 14 months. He's still trying to master walking. I think for awhile there he was really nervous about it but now hes trying a lot more. He can walk great holding onto one finger. So that's nice that I don't have to hold him the whole time while we are out. His favorite toy is by far balls especially the basketball. He loves making faces and laughs all the time.

Carter and I are having so much fun playing these days. He figured out crawling a couple weeks ago. I'm learning how to baby proof. He loves Mommy and is starting to get shy around others.
